Service Description
Our nervous system doesn't mean to stress us out, it's a very intelligent system working away to keep us safe - It just gets a little over protective sometimes. As we know this can then start to effect our sleep, digestion, mental health and hormonal balance as our body focuses all it's efforts on staying safe from the perceived danger. This is why we want to 'befriend' our wonderful bodies and nervous systems. Rachel specialises in working with the feminine nervous system- it's cyclical nature responding to a tailored and softer approach than some of the more intense practices you might see. If you have tried both talk therapy, and cold plunges, and the patterns you find yourself in persist, this might be the missing piece. Held either in the Cosy Cabin in Cilcennin, or online via Zoom, we'll dive deep into soothing and regulating our nervous systems through a range of somatic practices. What are somatic practices? 'Somatic' simply means mind-body practices that focus on internal physical awareness and feeling how emotions and trauma are held in the body. These can include: ~ Breath work to help shift from fight and flight to calm and clarity. ~ 'Bottom up' or body based approaches like movement, shaking, tapping, connecting to our senses, working with releasing tension in the body. ~ 'Top Down' or mind based approaches like guided visualisations, thought work, observing your internal experience to create change. ~ Nurturing our inner child and old stories to get to the root of the anxiety ~ Honouring your hormonal flow and it's knock on effect Our 90 minute container will provide a safe space to process emotions, receive what you need and come back to the wisdom that you hold within. I will meet you where you are at. If this is all new to you, please do not worry. We start with a chat and a cuppa. Please email rachelharveyyoga@gmail.com with any questions. I highly recommend this session as a regular appointment of at least 4 sessions, due to the nature of this work unraveling over time, but you are welcome just to come for one all the same.

Please reschedule if needed at least 72 hours before our appointment. The £15 paid at booking is non refundable. If payment has been made in full and you cancel with less than 72 hours notice, your payment is non refundable. Thank you for your understanding.
